Holstein Association USA, Inc. is seeking a motivated self-starter to join our sales staff. Responsibilities include selling the Association's comprehensive offering of dairy products and services throughout New England and Eastern New York.

The successful individual will have proven sales ability, dairy cattle management experience, a proven understanding of Holstein genetics, effective organizational and time management skills, and be comfortable working with a variety of dairy producers. You will become a key part of our National Sales Team, with a focus on assisting dairy producers increase profitability through the utilization of Holstein’s products and services.

Full Stack Java+Javascript Developer

Holstein Association USA, Inc., the world's largest dairy cattle breed organization, is a dynamic, innovative, growing organization located in Brattleboro, Vermont. We are currently seeking Java Developers to join our Information Services Team.

As a Java Developer you will be responsible for analyzing user specifications and requirements that reflect the business needs and for delivering high-quality software solutions to meet those business needs. Qualified individuals will assist in design, development, testing, maintenance and modification of software programs according to specifications, as well as verifying logic, performing necessary debugging, and writing related documentation.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A bachelor's degree; and a minimum of 5 years of related experience;
  • Extensive experience in Java and the Spring Boot Framework (Most Importantly RESTful web services, Spring Data (JDBC/JPA). Knowledge of the Spring MVC and Spring Cloud framework is a bonus;
  • Excellent knowledge of front end JavaScript technologies including React, Angular, Webpack, Node/NPM. Candidate should also be familiar the Bootstrap 3/4 CSS framework and CSS Preprocessor such as Less and SCSS;
  • Proven understanding of Relational Database Systems (Informix, Postgres), document stores (Mongo, Elasticsearch) and message brokers (RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ);
  • Will have a working knowledge on the utilization of Linux platforms (RHEL/Atomic) and containerized systems (Docker, Rancher, Kubernetes/Cattle) while developing, building, and deploying applications;
  • Will be required to maintain existing legacy java infrastructure while implementing new projects in modern frameworks so a working knowledge of J2EE/JEE, Struts, Tomcat, HTTPD Gentoo, Ubuntu are a real bonus;
  • The proven ability to contribute to and thrive in a high-performing, motivated workgroup, by applying excellent interpersonal and collaborations skills to achieve project goals and realize value;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and time management skills a must.
