Speek-NJ of Dewgood-ET is an OCD Rodgers Franchise-ET son and his dam is a Co-Op Day Tuffenuff-ET daughter. Tuffenuff is an extreme production bull. We bought embryos to increase our genetics program and add to what we had existing in our herd. The closer generations to Speek-NJ of Dewgood-ET are a bit unique. Dewgood is what I would call a complete package, a no hole kind of a bull. On our dairy, we have been breeding for a balanced cow with functional type. We look for cows that have longevity and make huge amounts of milk over their lifetime. That's the balanced cow which I expect Dewgood will transmit. Dewgood will create cattle that will calve in as great two-year-olds and function well for a long time because of his balance of type, production and extremely good health traits. While he is from a very prominent cow family, he has a couple of bulls in his sire stack which have had very little influence in the overall industry, so he should be able to be used on most of the pedigrees today.
